HealthTrust was one of nine GPOs that founded the Healthcare Group Purchasing Industry Initiative (HGPII) in 2005. HGPII promotes and monitors the best ethical and business practices in purchasing for hospitals and other healthcare providers.
Values-based ethics and compliance is a vital part of the HealthTrust culture. They strive to support the compassionate delivery of healthcare and to act with absolute integrity in the way they conduct themselves and their business. This is true of their leadership, their employees and the suppliers with whom they choose to do business.
As a leader in the industry, HealthTrust established a “business relationship statement” that outlines their expectations for supplier conduct. Signing this statement is required as part of becoming a contracted supplier with HealthTrust.
On an annual basis, HealthTrust responds to questions in an annual public accountability questionnaire. This report is available to the public and is used by HGPII to ensure adherence to its ethical and business principles.
